Toronto Film Screening

Canada, the land of opportunity!


LA based American filmmaker Justin Lerner’s first feature film Girlfriend, which was discovered and launched at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) has been invited back to Toronto for a special fundraising event to help this inspirational film gain a full theatrical release.

The first North American feature film to star an actor with Down Syndrome, Evan Sneider also features Canadian actor Amanda Plummer.

The screenings will be held Friday May 27th and Saturday May 28th at the Hazelton Hotel in Toronto.

After show Q&A with Writer/Director Justin Lerner and star Evan Sneider, hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos – Friday and Cabral "Cabbie" Richards – Saturday.

Gala event starts at 7pm, screening at 8:15pm, includes:
-Pre-screening cocktail party with beverages and passed canap├ęs.
-Private screening in the exclusive Hazelton Hotel Yorkville.
-Film maker Q&A
-After party at Nyood Bar/ F-Stop

Only 20 seats available for each screening, tickets are $500 which goes towards 1) bringing GIRLFRIEND to theatres; 2) additional funds will go towards a Down Syndrome charity.
